Missouri Care wants to make sure members get the health care they need. These are some benefits we offer.
Weight-Loss Programs
At no cost to members who qualify:
- Weight Watchers® membership: Six-month membership
- Curves Complete®: Three-month membership to a Curves gym, including one-to-one counseling with a health coach
Enhanced Transportation
Transportation benefits include:
- Pharmacy trips
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
- Child birthing
- Breastfeeding, or similar classes
- Parents visiting a hospitalized child
Women's Health
- Childbirth and Breastfeeding Classes – Mothers can attend childbirth and breastfeeding education classes
- Breast Pump – Breast pumps for moms with newborns
- Maternity Support Hose and Support Belts – Maternity support hose and support belts at no cost for pregnant members
- Nurses for Newborns – Members receive visits from a nurse as needed during and after pregnancy (available for members in St. Louis City and Jefferson County only)
- Maternity Program – 24/7 support from an obstetrics nurse, 17P home administration, weekly assessments, education and high-risk pregnancy monitoring
Diabetes
- Diabetic Foot Care – Routine trimming of nails, corns and calluses for members with diabetes
- Peak Flow Meters – Includes peak flow meters for qualified asthmatic members
Art Therapy
Art therapy for members:
- Getting cancer treatment
- Suffering from emotional abuse
- Experiencing post-traumatic stress disorders
- Diagnosed with autism
Equine Therapy
Members with autism get 10 horse-riding sessions per year at no cost
Caregiver Influenza Vaccine
At not cost for caregivers of Missouri Care children living in same household
Caregiver Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Vaccine
Pertussis vaccine at not cost for:
- Household of members who are pregnant (regardless of enrollment with Missouri Care)
- Caregivers of Missouri Care newborns
Hypoallergenic Bedding
Money to buy hypoallergenic mattress and pillow casings
Concierge/Welcome Room
Support for medical and non-medical needs, such as:
- Application assistance
- Access to telehealth services
- Transportation assistance
- Community support
Welcome Rooms coming to Springfield, Cape Girardeau and St. Joseph
HiSET
HiSET exam at no cost for members age 16 and older
Members must NOT:
- Be enrolled in high school
- Be a graduate of an accredited high school
- Have a high school equivalency certificate or diploma
Members must finish coursework at an adult testing center
Meals
If you had a baby recently you may be able to get 10 meals after discharge from the hospital
- What's Covered
- 10 meals per authorization
- Who's Eligible
- Members who have delivered a baby within the past 2 weeks and have been released from inpatient hospital
- Must be working with a care manager
- Prior approval is required
- Member must be enrolled and working with a care manager in an active treatment plan with appropriate provider
Cell phone
At not cost for members who:
- Have high-risk pregnancies
- Are in a care management program
- Don't have a phone
Cell phones have:
- Unlimited texts
- Saved numbers for member's doctor, care manager, and social worker
Mobile App
Missouri Care app lets members:
- Access ID cards
- Find a provider
- Get alerts for routine checkups
