Maternal and Child Health Personal Concierge STEPS Program

GoMo BabySteps is our digital platform to engage women during pregnancy and to provide education with a goal of improving prenatal and infant health. The eight-month program will provide customized and automated text messages with access to online web content. It will also give our care managers the ability to chat with members in real time. The program is strategically designed to educate and support pregnant women in the following areas:

  • Routine prenatal care
  • Physical changes
  • Healthy eating habits
  • Physical activity
  • Alcohol and smoking
  • Medications and drugs
  • Gestational diabetes
  • Complications of pregnancy
  • Safety during pregnancy
  • Mental health
  • Preparation for birth
  • Local support and resources

Members will be auto-enrolled into the GoMo BabySteps program with the ability to opt out. Members will also be able to enroll themselves into the program via text message. Upon enrollment, a risk-stratification methodology will be used to place members in a low or high-risk track based on member responses to a brief survey. Members will receive two to three messages a week. These will be dependent upon the enrollment track.
