You’re not required to choose a PCP with a PPO plan. Still, we recommend selecting one so you have a trusted provider who can help you stay on top of your health, support preventive health needs and be ready to help you faster when you need care, or aren’t feeling well.
Do I need a referral to see a specialist?
With a PPO plan, you do not need a referral to see a specialist.
What if I want to see a provider that is out-of-network?
You can choose to see a provider that is out-of-network, but you will likely pay more for your care.
